High school students build neuronal circuits

At the annual Tage der Genforschung event, the FMI opens its doors to interested high school students from the neighboring cities. This year team members from our group showed the students how to build simple spiking neural networks from discrete neuromorphic hardware neurons designed by our collaborators at Heidelberg University (Stradmann et al., 2024). The students (and teachers) visibly enjoyed the hands-on experience in building brain-inspired circuits.
